Industrial Development Commission

The Highland Industrial Development Commission (IDC) was established in 2009. The purpose of the commission is to promote, enhance and accomplish within the area so designated as the Highland Industrial Development Area by helping relieve conditions of unemployment, maintain existing levels of employment, aid in the rehabilitation of returning veterans and encourage the increase of industry and commerce.

The Industrial Development Commission has taken a proactive approach to those duties and has formulated a plan to assist the city in the attracting, retaining and expanding Highland’s industrial and business bases.
