Tri-City Regional Port District
The Tri-City Regional Port District is a 1,200-acre facility located in southern Illinois, just 30 miles from Highland. Adjacent to Illinois Route 3, a six-lane highway, the Port provides immediate access to Interstates 70, 40/64, 44 and 55 as well as Interstates 270 and 255 on the outer belt of St. Louis.
The port is located in an Enterprise Zone and Foreign Trade Zone which moves over 3 million tons of products each year into and throughout the region, by providing a wide range of services including barge, rail, and truck transfer. Highland serves international clients and cargoes and also has numerous commercial and industrial buildings for lease as well as sites available for development.
Kaskaskia Regional Port District
The Kaskaskia Regional Port District has multiple facilities along the Kaskaskia River. They offer barge, rail, and truck services at several facilities which are located within 60 miles of Highland and are accessible via two lane state highways.
